TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) - The Baltimore County school board got an earful from teachers who recently saw their proposed pay raises vanish.
“Petrified. Petrified," said teacher Ilene Chupnick about her feelings, who rallied outside the school board offices Tuesday night.
County school teachers were slated to receive a pay raise until county leaders ordered board members to tighten their proposed budget.
“The urgency of now is not over; it is here,” said one teacher inside the board meeting.
Board members will take a final vote on the proposed revised budget in two weeks.
