Bill Bateman's to close in Towson
TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) - After many years, Bill Bateman's Bistro will be closing its Towson location.
The restaurant said on Facebook that this Sunday will be its last day of business.
"We are so grateful to have been a part of the Towson community for the past decade," said the restaurant in a Facebook post.
A mainstay in the Baltimore area since 1987, Bill Bateman's has six other locations around Maryland and one in Pennsylvania.
Towson University said it's working to convert the location, which is located inside a college building on York Road, into university space.
University spokesperson Sean Welsh said: "Bill Bateman's Bistro has been a vital part of the Towson University landscape for the better part of the last two decades. The bistro was a convenient place to have lunch without leaving campus, catch dinner before a night class or to meet fellow students or colleagues. It was also a place to gather for Tigers sporting events. We wish them well.
