Gas leak under control and gas restored after gas line struck in South Baltimore
BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- (UPDATE): According to the City of Baltimore Fire Department, the gas leak on S. Randall St. has been controlled and gas services have been restored. All residents are back in their homes, with the exception of one.
Fire Crews responded to a gas line that was struck in South Baltimore.
The call came out before 3pm in the unit block of E. Randall St for a gas line that had been struck.
Fire crews were working to contain the break, fire could be seen shooting out of the ground.
Fire Officials say an independent contractor was working on a water line and struck a gas line, causing a gas pipe to rupture. About a dozen homes were evacuated.
No injuries have been reported.
