BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Two local men decided to take a south Baltimore basketball court into their own hands, and turn it into a work of art.

Patrick Horvat and Ben Cecchini were spotted rolling paint onto a court at Riverside Park.

"I noticed last week that someone had begun making serious improvements to the basketball court at Riverside Park," wrote Joel Anderson on a South Baltimore community page on Facebook. "On my way home tonight, I saw a couple guys out there rolling paint, so I stopped to thank them and get their story."

"It's a simple one: they live in the neighborhood, and they wanted to make the court look nice, and they used their own money and supplies," explained Anderson. "Man did they do great work. New paint on all the lines, sweet designs in the lanes and at half court, and great artwork on the backboards (plus much-needed new nets)."

Anderson took photos of patriotic designs on the backboards and a bright blue-and-black striped motif on the court itself.

"How great is this? Thanks, fellas," added Anderson.
