EAST BALTIMORE | Car driven into building, woman stabbed during fight

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Two violent incidents were reported in east Baltimore about a 1/2 mile apart Wednesday night.

A chaotic fight ended with a car crashing into an apartment building at about 5:30 p.m. Less than 1 1/2 hours later, two people were shot farther down the street.

Two women were fighting at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Branch Water Court, in the Clay Court Apartments near North Gay and East Chase streets.

Baltimore police said one woman tried to run the other woman over and drove into the building.

One of the women was also stabbed, said police spokeswoman Det. Nicole Monroe.

There was no word on whether someone was struck by the car.

At about 6:52 p.m., officers responded to East Chase Street near North Patterson Park Avenue for a report of a shooting.

A shooting victim was found and taken to an area hospital.

At about 7:15 p.m., a second victim was found at an area hospital, with gunshot wounds to the chest.

He was in serious condition, said police.
