DULLES, Va. (WBFF) - A tornado warning in northern Virginia prompted people at Washington Dulles International Airport to evacuate the top terminals and move underground.

The airport was not officially evacuated Monday evening, explained Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesperson Andrew Trull, but passengers were encouraged to move to the interior portion of the facility "and that included the [underground] AeroTrain."

Photos showed people huddled in the underground tunnel.
