George H.W. Bush official funeral schedule released

The office of former President George H.W. Bush has released the official state funeral schedule, which is set to take place in Houston, Texas, Washington, D.C. and Spring and College Station, Texas, beginning on the morning of Monday, December 3, and continuing until Thursday.

On Monday, a Departure Ceremony will be held in Houston at 10:30 a.m. CST at Ellington Field where Bush's remains will be flown to Joint Base Andrews in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Once Bush's remains arrive in Washington, an Arrival Ceremony will take place at Joint Base Andrews then continue to the U.S. Capitol on Monday at 4:45 p.m. EST.

Bush will lie in state at the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol from Monday at 7:30 p.m. EST until Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. EST.

Funeral services be held at the National Cathedral at 11 a.m. EST where President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump will attend.

On Wednesday, Bush's remains will be transported back to Houston at 4:30 p.m. CST.

Bush will lie in repose at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. until Thursday at 6 a.m.

The official funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. CST at St. Martin's Episcopal Church.

The 41st President of the United States will be interred on Thursday evening at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, next to his wife, Barbara, and daughter Robin.
