BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF)--- There are multiple national reports that linebacker Terrell Suggs will leave the Ravens as a free agent. Jason LaCanfora was the first to report that Suggs informed members of the Ravens he plans to leave. NFL free agency officially starts Wednesday, but legal tampering started today at 12 p.m. where teams could start to negotiate.
One report has Suggs landing in his home state with the Arizona Cardinals. Suggs played at Arizona State and grew up in Chandler.
The Ravens are set to host the Cardinals in the 2019 season at M&T Bank Stadium.
Suggs recorded 132.5 sacks in 16 seasons with the Ravens. That’s tied for 13th all-time and tops among active players.
Suggs was one season shy of tying Ray Lewis for his 17th season as a Baltimore Raven, which is a franchise record. Instead, he'll reportedly head elsewhere for his 17th NFL season.
Suggs will turn 37-years-old this season.
