Good morning! Stephanie Woods joined the FOX45 news team in April of 2017 as your new Morning Reporter. She’s all about digging for the truth, holding people accountable, and the occasional (frequent) cute kitty video. As a Delaware native, Stephanie is thrilled to be living in the Charm City where everyone is charming and Old Bay is on every restaurant table.
Most recently Stephanie served as the Weekend Anchor at WMUR where she covered the wacky and wonderful New Hampshire Primary. Whether in a press conference or through the window of a car, Stephanie tossed the tough questions to candidates, including President Donald Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Marco Rubio and more.
Before moving to Boston, Stephanie was a Reporter and Anchor at WXIX in Cincinnati. She previously worked as the Host of Student World Assembly’s Hearts and Minds, a political news program on U.S. foreign policy. Stephanie cut her teeth at MTV News as a Reporter in the Choose Or Lose “Street Team '08.” Her stories helped Choose Or Lose win a Public Service Emmy for its coverage of the 2008 presidential election.
Fear the Turtle! Stephanie’s master’s degree hails from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. Her fall semester internship was with Anderson Cooper: 360 at the CNN bureau in Washington. Stephanie graduated early from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in Foreign Affairs and English.
Stephanie loves dancing (even when everyone is watching), baseball (When the Phillies win), football (Go Birds!), imitating Food Network chefs (poorly), traveling to new places, and meeting new people. She lives in Baltimore with her husband Mike, dog Brandy, and cat Benji.
